British retail chain Tesco – in cooperation with virtual operator IMO Mobile has revealed its smartphone. The device called IMO Q5 is a budget, low-end smartphone, for less demanding buyers.

Tesco’s IMO Q5 is a budget device, which runs the Unisoc SC9832E processor, supported by only a 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. Fortunately, this small data memory can be expanded with a microSD card. Unfortunately, there’s nothing to do with the RAM memory… There’s no virtual RAM option.

IMO Q5 by Tesco and IMO mobile  has also a 5.5-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution, surrounded by rather wide frame, which is characteristic for low-end smartphones. Over the screen, you’ll find the speaker and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera is double, with a main 13-megapixel matrix and a VGA for portrait background blurr. The smartphone runs Android 12, it also has an FM radio and a face recognition system. All this is enclosed in a plastic, blue housing without any IP rating, and powered by a 2500 mAh battery with typical, slow charging power 10W. The price of the phone is £79.99.
